Kaulig Racing and The Next 2022-NASCAR Cup Series Drivers
Kaulig Racing is an American professional stock car racing team. The team competes in the NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series. The team is owned by Matt Kaulig, who also owns the team’s sponsor LeafFilter.
A.J. Allmendinger
Allmendinger is a professional stock car racing driver from the United States. He races full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Kaulig Racing, driving the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro, and part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Kaulig Racing, driving the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
AJ Allmendinger will be the next driver in the 2022-NASCAR Cup Series. The Chevrolet-backed organization has announced plans to run full-time in the series. Kaulig has already signed drivers Austin Hill and Noah Gragson. The team has been a popular option for Allmendinger because of Allmendinger’s successful career in the Xfinity Series.
Daniel Hemric
Daniel Hemric is a professional stock car racing driver from the United States. He races full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Kaulig Racing, driving the No. 11 Chevrolet Camaro, and part-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Kaulig Racing with the No. 16 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
He competed in the Camping World Truck Series for Brad Keselowski Racing from 2015 to 2016, before the team folded. Hemric also drove for RCR for two years in the Xfinity Series (2017-2018), earning playoff berths and advancing to the Championship 4 round in both seasons. He previously raced for JR Motorsports in the Xfinity Series in 2020. In 2021, Daniel Hemric won his first NASCAR national series race in the Xfinity Series championship race at Phoenix Raceway, doubling as his first series title in his final race for Joe Gibbs Racing. Daniel Hẻmic will join Kaulig Racing in 2022.
Justin Haley
Haley previously raced full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Kaulig Racing in the No. 11 Chevrolet. Haley also drove the Car No. 16 in 2021 Yella Wood 500 for Kaulig Racing. The No. 31 Chevrolet is set to return to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2022. The team also announced that AJ Allmendinger, Daniel Hemric, and Noah Gragson will share time in the No. 16 car. Haley has three wins under his belt and has recorded 38 top ten finishes.
Back in June, it was announced that Haley would pilot the No. 16 Chevrolet in the 2022 Cup Series season. However, that announcement was ambiguous and Kaulig Racing later confirmed that Haley would share the number with the second entry. As it turns out, Haley will drive the No. 31 Chevrolet Camaro in 2022. The move will restore his number to the NASCAR Cup Series for the first time since 2019.
